Men's Tennis Falls At Division I Nevada, 6-1

Anthony Rollins earned a singles victory at Nevada on Sunday.
RENO, Nevada- Anthony Rollins scored a 6-4, 6-4 victory over Gabe Kanzelmeyer on Sunday afternoon, but it would be the only win for Sonoma State as Division I Nevada cruised to a 6-1 victory over the Seawolves at the Caughlin Club in Reno, Nevada. Sonoma State falls to 7-10 overall while Nevada moved to .500 at 7-7 this season.

At the No. 5 position, Rollins improved to 3-1 on the season with the win over Kanzelmeyer. Stewart Hutton served with a 5-3 advantage in the first set, but ended up falling 7-5, 6-4 to Augustin Myard. In doubles play, the duo of Connor Olson and Taylor Bianco led 5-2 before Myard and Laurent Garcin rolled to a 8-5 win at the No. 1 position.

Up next for the Seawolves is the 110th annual Ojai Valley Tournament where the top two doubles teams and top three singles teams in the Independant College Division at the Pierpont Racquet Club in Ventura.
