ROHNERT PARK, Calif- UC San Diego rallied for five unanswered runs in game one to earn a 5-3 victory before holding off Sonoma State in game two with a 9-7 win to earn the Saturday sweep at Seawolf Diamond in Rohnert Park. The two losses drops the Seawolves to 22-9 overall and 15-9 in the CCAA while the Tritons improve to 23-12 and 16-11.

Kevin Cramer got the scoring started for the Seawolves in the opener, scoring
Randy Wells for the early 1-0 lead off Triton starter Guido Knudson.
Kyle Cerrudo then came around to score after a fielding error by third baseman Evan Kehoe on a ground ball by
Ryan Morales.
Sonoma State tacked on another run in the third when
Cameron Cook stood on third base and O'Koyea Dickson was on first. Dickson attempted the steal to second, drawing the throw down by catcher Kellen Lee. In the ensuing rundown between first and second, Cook sprinted for home and got in underneath the tag for the Seawolves' third run of the game.
UC San Diego came right back to knot the game at 3-3 in the top half of the fourth via three hits and a couple of errors before taking the lead in the fifth with a pair of runs on SSU starter
Kenny Arnerich.
From the fifth inning on, the Sonoma State offense fell silent, as both Knudson and reliever Justin Burns combined to allowed just one hit in the final five innings to secure the 5-3 victory in the opener. Knudson (4-3) tossed six and a thirds innings, scattering six hits and allowed the three runs (only one of which was earned), while walking two and struck out six. Burns earned the save, his second, not allowing a base hit in his two and two-thirds innings of work.
Arnerich (5-1) suffered his first loss of the 2011 campaign, giving up nine hits, five runs (three earned). He walked two and struck out two.
Brian Bordagaray came on in relief in the fifth inning and allowed just one hit himself as he walked three and struckout five. Cerrudo and Cramer led the offense with two hits.

The Tritons jumped all over starter
Kendall Davis in the first, scoring four runs and batting around in the order. Davis lasted just a third of the inning before
Eric Davila came on to strikeout the next two batters and stop the bleeding.
However, UC San Diego came back with a run in the third and four more in the fourth to take a commanding 9-0 lead.
The Seawolves wouldn't go away though, even though they were being no-hit through the first three innings by Taylor Austin.
Alex Todd came up in the fourth and blasted a solo shot to left field, putting a SSU run up on the board. Sonoma State then got three more runs in the fifth, but trailed by five runs.
After a scoreless sixth inning, Sonoma State had three outs to get something going in the bottom of the seventh. The hosts loaded the bases with one out and then
Max Kirk came home on a wild pitch by Elias Tuma, which advanced Cook to third and Dickson to second.
Alex Todd later singled up the middle, scoring both Cook and Dickson and the Seawolves trailed by just two runs at 9-7. One batter later with runners on the corners and two outs, Tuma got Cramer to strikeout swinging and the Tritons held on for the 9-7 win.
Taylor (2-0) got the win, tossing four and two-thirds innings, giving up two hits, four walks and four runs. Tuma was credited with his third save of the season.
For the Seawolves, Davis (1-3) got the loss after pitching to just the first seven batters of the ball game. Todd went 3 for 4 with a run scored and five RBI.
Sonoma State and UC San Diego will wrap up the four-game series on Sunday with a single game, starting at 11 a.m. at Seawolf Diamond.
