ROHNERT PARK -- The Sonoma State women's basketball team will look to return to winning form this weekend as it will host the Golden Eagles of Cal State L.A. on Friday and the Toros of Cal State Dominguez Hills on Saturday at The Wolves' Den in Rohnert Park. The Seawolves currently sport a record of 4-6 this season, with a 2-4 mark in California Collegiate Athletic Association (CCAA) play.

CHICO, STANISLAUS RECAP: Things did not go according to plan last weekend when the Seawolves hit the road to take on conference rivals Chico State and Cal State Stanislaus. While Sonoma State fought hard, they would fall to the undefeated and then-No.14 Chico State Wildcats, 70-48.
Bronte Sheahan led the team in scoring with 10 points. A night later, behind
Taylor Vigil's 17 points, SSU attempted to conquer the Warriors of Cal State Stanislaus, but came up short, losing 72-65. In addition to Vigil's 17 points,
Tanner Adams and
Bronte Sheahan finished with 11 points and
Kristina Fahey chipped in with 10 points in the loss.
SCOUTING CAL STATE L.A.: The Golden Eagles of Cal State L.A. are currently tied for second in the CCAA with UC San Diego with a 4-2 mark in the CCAA (9-4 overall). However, Sonoma State has won 10 of the last 12 meetings with Cal State L.A. and holds a 21-16 advantage in the all-time series. In fact, CSULA is just 5-11 when playing in The Wolves' Den, dating back to 1987. The Seawolves and Golden Eagles split the season series in 2011-12, with both teams winning on the road. At 19.6 points per game, senior guard Tessondra Williams has been an offensive powerhouse for Cal State L.A. Williams currently leads the team, and is second in the conference in scoring average. She is also in the top five in the CCAA in field goal percentage and three-point percentage, where she is shooting 49.1 percent and 43.2 percent, respectively.
SCOUTING CAL STATE DOMINGUEZ HILLS: Tied with Sonoma State for fifth place in the conference, the Toros of Cal State Dominguez Hills come to The Wolves' Den with a 2-4 record in the CCAA (3-7 overall). The Toros hold an all-time series advantage over the Seawolves at 24-18 , but are slightly over .500 when playing inside The Wolves' Den at 10-9 all-time. Junior guard Jamie Robinson currently leads the Toros in scoring with 11.7 points per game and also leads the CCAA in rebounds per game, averaging 8.9 boards per contest. Freshman guard Monay Lee follows Robinson ever so closely, averaging 11.4 points per game.
SEAWOLVES' NOTES: Taylor Vigil is leading the Seawolves, averaging 10.6 points per game. Vigil is also second in the CCAA in field goal percentage, hitting 51.6 percent of her shots.
Alysa Ito contiues to prove her sharing abilities, averaging 4.6 assists per game, second in the CCAA. Ito has totaled 46 assists so far this season.
