Seawolves Earn Fourth-Straight Shutout Win To Start 2013

SEASIDE, Calif. --
Lauren Curtin scored two first half goals and Gabby Squarcia and Alicia Mertz each added one in the second half to lift Sonoma State to a convincing 4-0 victory over host Cal State Monterey Bay on Sunday afternoon in Seaside. The Seawolves (4-0-0, 2-0-0 CCAA) have yet to allow a goal through their first four matches of 2013, a streak of 360 consecutive minutes, while outscoring their opponents 15-0. The Otters fall to 2-2-0 overall and 1-1-0 in conference play.

Sonoma State returns home on Friday to host Cal State Stanislaus, the preseason CCAA North Division favorite to win the title. Kickoff is set for 3:00 pm at the Seawolf Soccer Field.
