SAN FRANCISCO --
Molly Kommer nailed a three-pointer to put the Sonoma State women's basketball team up by three points with 13:28 to go in the first half, but NCAA Division I University of San Francisco answered with a 15-0 run in less than four minutes and never relinquished the lead again as the Seawolves wrapped up their exhibition schedule with an 83-42 loss to the Dons on Sunday at War Memorial Gymnasium in San Francisco.

Sonoma State (0-1), which opened its regular season on Saturday with a home loss to Menlo, will jump back into regular season action on Thursday when the squad travels to Oakland to face Holy Names in a non-conference game at 7:00 pm.

Hannah Sourek and Molly Donovan each scored 11 points to lead the Seawolves offensively; Sourek also added a team-high six rebounds.  Kommer dropped in six points, both by way of the longball.  Sonoma was held to 26.3 percent from the floor (15 of 57) and 20 percent from three-point range (5 of 25).

San Francisco had five players score in double-figures, including four of the five starters.  Michaela Rakova came off the bench to lead all players with 13 points and 11 rebounds in 18 minutes of action -- all but two of the points coming in the final 20 minutes.  The Dons connected on 45.7 percent of their shots (32 of 70) and defensively, they held the Seawolves to just 14 total points in the second half.
