Another Loss in Overtime

BOX SCORE Today's game at Cal State LA was another tough loss for the Seawolves. After the game against Dominguez Hills on Friday the Seawolves were playing without some important members of their lineup. The 1-0 loss was the second loss in overtime this week and heartbreaking to watch.

The first half both teams had great chances on attack, but the Eagles out shot the Seawolves 8 to 4. Again, the great defense and Goal Keeping helped the Seawolves keep the score 0-0.

Second half again was well fought, but the Eagles out shot the Seawolves 10 to 3. The score still remaining 0-0 the game went into overtime. 7 minutes into overtime the Eagles scored ending the game 1-0 Cal State LA.

Coach Marcus Ziemer stated, "It's tough playing a fresh team on Sunday, but the guys followed a plan and we kept them in front of us and had some great chances to pull off the upset. We have some time off before we play NDNU and then resume conference play. We will rest and regroup and then make a push to earn a CCAA tourney spot."

The Seawolves' next game is against Notre Dame de Namur away on Tuesday, October 13, at 3:00 PM.
