ROHNERT PARK, CALIF.- Four Sonoma State Men's Soccer players have officially been named to the CCAA Honorable Mention team for their efforts during the 2024 season. The quartet of Seawolves includes Jack Chapman, Alejandro Zarate, Jvon Cunningham and Caleb Yoon.

Chapman was a mainstay for the Seawolves as the team's starting goalkeeper. He saw 1585 minutes of playing time in 18 consecutive starts. Chapman's 80 saves were good for second overall in the conference and he posted a save percentage of 76.9% which was third best in the CCAA. He also had four shutouts on record as well.

Alejandro Zarate was arguably the top offensive option for the Seawolves thanks to three goals and a team high four assists. Zarate had a particularly strong finish to the year as he caught fire during the final three matches of the year. In the Seawolves last three games he had two assists and two goals. He also kept plenty of pressure on opposing defenses as he had a team high 46 shots with 15 of them coming on goal.

Caleb Yoon also received his first career CCAA Honorable Mention recognition. The sophomore from Davis, California has been an impact player since day one of his college career. After starting 15 games as a freshman, he started 16 this year, played 1337 minutes and was a fierce competitor as one of Sonoma's top midfielders. Yoon also contributed a goal and two assists on the season as well.

Lastly, 2023 Honorable Mention team member Jvon Cunningham secured back to back selections. Cunningham was named a team captain and was instrumental as a team leader on and off the pitch during his final season on Seawolf Soccer Field. Cunningham was a top tier facilitator for his team with three assists on the year but also put 10 shots on goal across the duration of the season.
