Santee, Calif. – Led by
Blake Bourelle's championship performance, the Sonoma State Seawolves wrapped up the 69th Intercollegiate in Santee, California with a ten-stroke victory over second place Western New Mexico at Carlton Oaks Golf Club.
Bourelle, shot the third-lowest of the tournament, 71-72-70—213.
Dexter Simonds rounded out the tournament's top-10, placing 9
thwith a 73-70-75—218.
Spencer Clapp shot a 69-79-72—220 to finish tied for 12
th,
Devin Gregg tied for 25
thshooting 75-76-73—224, while
Ian Hofmann (0-74-72—146) rounded out the Seawolf lineup, finishing tied for 88
th.
As a team, the Seawolves combined for a 288-292-287—867 (+3) first place finish ten strokes ahead of the second place finisher Western New Mexico 294-297-286—877 (+13).
The Seawolves return to action on March 18 and 19 when they travel for East Bay's Tim Tierney Pioneer Shootout.
