The Sonoma State Men's Golf Team put together a strong showing at the 2025 CSUSM Fujikura Men's Invitational, finishing in a tie for fourth place at Shadowridge Country Club. Leading the charge for the Seawolves was Ivan Sablan, who earned a top-10 finish with a total score of 217 (+1).
Sablan started the tournament on fire, posting rounds of 68 and 69 to position himself at the top of the leaderboard after two rounds. Despite a tough final round of 80, his early dominance helped him secure a tie for eighth place overall. Sablan led the field with 16 birdies, showcasing his ability to score throughout the tournament.
Sonoma State finished with a team total of 889 (+25), tying for fourth place with Colorado State-Pueblo. Jack Brown also delivered a strong performance, tying for 20th place with a three-round total of 222 (+6), including an impressive final round of 70.
The Seawolves will look to build on this momentum as they prepare for their next tournament. With Sablan playing good golf to start the new year, the team is poised to continue to climb the leaderboards in future tournaments.
