Turlock, Calif. – Sonoma State placed sixth (of 18) at the Hanny Stanislaus Invitational in its final tournament of the regular season.
Spencer Clapp led the Seawolves with his seventh-place finish 73-71-70—214(-2), as a team Sonoma finished three strokes behind fifth place 292-286-289—870(+6).
Blake Bourelle and
Devin Gregg rounded out the Invites top-10 (11-way tie). Bourelle shot 68-73-76—217(+1) and Gregg shaved off four strokes from the opening round shot 74-73-70—217(+1).
Closing out the Seawolves scoring five,
Dexter Simonds placed tied for 59
thwith a 77-76-75—228(+12) and
Ian Hofmann finished tied for 61
st, 79-73-77—229(+13).
The California Collegiate Athletic Association Championship is scheduled for later this month, April 22-24
