HILO, HAWAII.- Over the last two days Sonoma State Women's Golf wrapped up their fall season in Hilo, Hawaii. 15 different programs took to the greens at the Mauna Lani Golf Course. The Seawolves managed a ninth place finish with junior Avery Foster putting together arguably her best performance of the year so far.
Avery Foster has paced the Seawolves all season long with three straight top six finishes, including a victory at the Seawolf Invite, coming into this tournament. Foster's seven birdies were tied for the third most across the two day tournament. She also had the third most holes on par and only had two bogeys across 36 holes. Overall Foster finished five under par and was only two strokes away from taking first.
The second Seawolf in the leaderboards was Talia Gutman. Gutman was steady throughout with 23 holes finished on par. She chipped in three birdies as well. Freshman Rilee Crosby has continued to adapt to college competition finishing roughly four places behind Gutman. Crosby only managed one birdie on the day but she remained locked in with 27 holes on par to place in the top half of the field.
The final two players on the day were Avery Kraatz and Lauren Garcia. The two have been fixtures in the Seawolves rotation and will be called upon come the teams championship season in the Spring.
