LA JOLLA, Calif-  UC San Diego had all five starters in double figures on Saturday night in a 67-56 win over Sonoma State at RIMAC Arena in La Jolla.  The Seawolves fall to 3-2, 0-2 CCAA on the season while the Tritons win their sixth straight and go to 7-1, 2-0 CCAA. 

The Seawolves led the game 2-0, but that would be their only lead as the Tritons built a 13-point halftime lead, 33-20.  The lead would stay in double digits for much of the second half, before SSU closed to four in the final four minutes.  They would, however, only score three more points the rest of the game as the Tritons pulled away for the 67-56 win. 

Olivia Larkin and Lauren Redfield shared team-high honors with ten points on the night.  Heidi Mertle had her finest outing of the year, coming one point and one assist short of a double-double (nine points, nine rebounds). 

Michelle Osier had 16 points and eight rebounds for the Tritons. 

The Seawolves are back in action next weekend when they head to Chico to take on Seattle Pacific and Western Washington in the CCAA/GNAC Challenge.
