ROHNERT PARK, Calif- Senior
Lindsay Catton keeps raking in the awards. For the second consecutive season, the native of Rohnert Park grabbed a spot on the NSCAA NCAA Division II All-Far West Region First Team. The award adds to her impressive collegiate resume that includes two Daktronics NCAA Division II West Region Women's Soccer First Team accolades as well as All-America honors last season.
Catton had an excellent senior season in the backfield for Sonoma State once again. She scored five goals, including two successful penalty kicks while anchoring the defense. She was named to the All-California Collegiate Athletic Association First Team in 2009 for the second time in as many years.
As an all-region first teamer, she listed on the Daktronics Division II Women's Soccer All-America ballot. The All-American team will be announced later this month.
The Seawolves finished the season 8-9-3 overall and 6-7-3 in conference play.
