Rodriguez Shuts Out Broncos In Finale

Morgan Rodriguez fired his first career shutout on Sunday
POMONA, Calif-  Senior southpaw Morgan Rodriguez spun a five-hit, complete-game shutout on Sunday afternoon to lead Sonoma State to a 6-0 win over Cal Poly Pomona in the conclusion of their four-game series.  After a weekend split, the Seawolves see their record at 21-8, 14-8 CCAA.

Rodriguez was brilliant, scattering five hits and two walks over nine innings of work.  He improves to 3-0 on the season.

The Seawolves picked up the only run they'd end up needing in the first when Kyle Jones doubled in a run.  Ian Bridges followed that up with another RBI double, making it 2-0.  Two runs were added in both the fourth and seventh innings to set the final margin at 6-0.

Bridges finished the game 3-for-4 with three RBIs.  Cameron Cook had two runs and seven different Seawolves had hits in total.

The Seawolves return to the diamond on Thursday when they host San Francisco State in a non-conference doubleheader.
