Cal State Monterey Bay got off to a quick start, taking an early 10-4 lead but Sonoma State would score five straight points to close the gap to just one at 10-9. Then, Arterberry netted a jumper to tie up the score at 12 with seven minutes remaining in the first half. That's when the Otters took over as they went on a 10-0 run and eventually stretched their lead to 12 on a three-pointer by Shaun Williams at 1:59.
