Box Score: Sonoma State 95, Dominican 64

Will Olsem came off the bench and poured in a game-high 20 points with six three pointers and five other Sonoma State players scored in double figures as the Seawolves rolled over visiting Dominican, 95-64, on Saturday night to wrap up the tenth annual Ron Logsdon Basketball Classic at The Wolves' Den. The Seawolves improve to 2-0 on the season while the Penguins remain winless at 0-2.
The Seawolves were lights out from the field on Saturday, draining 63.6 percent of their shots, including 57.1 percent from beyond the three point arc. SSU connected on 35-of-55 shots (12-of-21 from long distance). Olsem shot 6-of-8 from the floor, all of which came from downtown.
James Sandoval dropped in 15 and was named the tournament's Most Valuable Player. Olsem and
Ben Washington were also named to the all-tournament team.

Steve Lackey (10) all scored in double-figures, complementing Olsem's 20 and Sandoval's 15.
Steven Pratt scored three points, but he led all players with a career-high eight assists. Sonoma State as a team, handed out 27 assists while holding Dominican to just 23 made shots. The Penguins shot 41.8 percent from the floor (23-of-55), but couldn't cool the hot shooting of the Seawolves.
Dominican scored the first two points of the game on a layup by Ian Collins, but it would be the last time the Penguins would hold the lead. Sonoma State went on a quick 9-0 run to take a 9-2 lead three minutes into the game and extended its first half lead to 22 points (49-27) with 37 seconds remaining the opening period.
Leading by as much as 28 points midway through the second half, the Penguins started to chip away at the deficit and trailed by as much as 16 at the 7:45 minute mark. However, the Seawolves were too much for the members of the Pacific West Conference, winning the ballgame by 31 points.
For Dominican, Adam Chavis had 12 points before retiring to the bench with a minor injury. Myles Carrillo chipped in with 10 points.
Sonoma State will hit the road next weekend to take part in the Northwest Nazarene Thanksgiving Classic on Nov. 26-27 in Nampa, Idaho. The Seawolves will face host Northwest Nazarene on Friday at 6 p.m. before taking on Central Washington on Saturday at 4 p.m.
