For the second straight day, Sonoma State trailed from start to finish as they surrendered the first eight points of the game to Central Washington, six of which came from Sprinker. Over the next five minutes, the Wildcats would stretch their lead to 11 at 21-10. The Seawolves would then continue to chip away at the lead, but CWU would jump back out to a double-digit lead, by as much as 13 points at 32-19 with seven minutes remaining in the first half.

Sonoma State would not go away quietly, though, as the Seawolves embarked on an 11-2 run to pull within four points at 34-30 with 3:36 left in the opening period. However, Central Washington ended the half on a 10-2 run to lead 44-32 at halftime.

Central Washington hit 51.7 percent from the floor on 15-of-29 shooting. The Wildcats, from Ellensburg, Wash., dominated the paint in the first 20 minutes, dropping in 20 points to the Seawolves' six.

After a cold shooting performance in the first half, in which Sonoma State converted on 10-of-27 shots, the Seawolves heated up from field, hitting on a 53.3 clip. But, the Wildcats remained on fire, misfiring on just six of their 18 shots in the final period. CWU held a double-digit lead from the 9:57 mark and even extended its lead as much as 17 points with just 44 seconds left in regulation. SSU scored the game's final six points, but the Wildcats took the 83-72 victory on the final day of the Northwest Nazarene Thanksgiving Classic.

Despite the loss, the Seawolves outrebounded the Wildcats, 32-30, and led in assists, 16-12. The height of Central Washington played an advantage, as the Wildcats rejected seven Seawolf shots.
