BOX SCORE #12 Sonoma State 3, San Francisco State 0 (25-22, 25-19, 25-14) -- Box Score

ROHNERT PARK --
Kelsey Hull was nearly unstoppable on Wednesday, smashing 15 of her 23 attacks to the floor without committing an error -- a hitting percentage of .652 -- as the 12th-ranked Sonoma State volleyball team won their sixth straight match, a 3-0 sweep of visiting San Francisco State at The Wolves' Den.  Winners in 11 of their last 12 matches, the Seawolves improve to 13-2 overall and 6-1 in the CCAA.  The Gators, meanwhile, drop to 8-7 overall and 3-4 in conference play.

Hull's efficiency was the third-best mark in a single-match in school history with a minimum of 20 attacks.  She led SSU to a .312 clip, the ninth time this season that the Seawolves have hit .300 or better.  In fact, Sonoma is the CCAA's best-hitting team with a .267 mark (and 11th best in the nation), 22 percentage points better than Cal State San Bernardino, which has the next best clip at .245.

Also of note, head coach Bear Grassl earned his 199th career coaching victory on Wednesday, needing just one more for the 200-win milestone -- he is now 199-127 in 11+ seasons at Sonoma State.

The first set would prove to be the closest of the night, featuring 12 ties and four lead changes.  The 12th and final tie came at 17-17, but Sonoma State would eventually lead 24-20 before putting SF State away 25-22 for the 1-0 match lead.  The Seawolves never trailed the rest of the way, but fell into four ties in the final two sets.  After a 25-19 win in the second frame, Sonoma led by scores of 9-3 and 19-9 before grabbing the broom and sweeping the Gators away with a convincing 25-14 in set number three to win the match.

Not only did Hull have 15 kills to lead all players, she recorded a double-double with 10 digs; she also had three assisted blocks at the net.  Caylie Seitz added 11 kills, followed by eight off the hand of Regan RichertNicole Gragnola (12 digs), Hayley Ross (10) and Hull each had digs in double-figures while Ashley Robinson made four blocks, one of the solo variety.

For San Francisco State, Melissa Horton and Kelly Ostello tied for team-high honors in the kills department with eight, but the Sonoma State defense held SFSU to a .192 hitting percentage on the night.

Sonoma State looks to continue its hot streak when it plays host to Cal Poly Pomona (4-11, 2-5 CCAA) on Friday night at 7:00 pm in The Wolves' Den.
