BOX SCORE #16 Sonoma State 3, Cal Poly Pomona 1 (25-22, 25-17, 23-25, 25-22) -- Box Score

POMONA, Calif. --
Needing four sets for the second time in as many games, the Sonoma State women's volleyball team completed the weekend sweep during its final road games, taking down Cal Poly Pomona on Saturday night in Pomona.  Caylie Seitz led all players with 20 kills while adding a solo block and assisting on two others.  The 16th-ranked Seawolves improve to 23-5 overall and 16-4 in the CCAA while the Broncos fall to 11-17 (9-11 CCAA).

Setting the tone for Saturday's match, Sonoma State had three girls with double-digit kills (Seitz, Kelsey Hull, Regan Richert). Following Seitz's 20 was Hull with 13 and Richert with 11.  Hull was thoroughly effective on the night being second on the team in both kill percentage (.367) behind Ashley Robinson's .636, and digs (7) behind Nicole Gragnola's 18.  She also saved her best for last, getting a kill in three out of the last four points of the night to finish off the Broncos in the fourth set, 25-22.  Madelyn Densberger added seven kills and seven digs.

After battling out a win in the first set (25-22), the Seawolves seized control of the match with a 25-17 victory in the second.  With the score at 13-10, the Seawolves put together a streak of five consecutive points, expanding their lead to eight (18-10).  Hull was a huge factor at this point when she had a kill and two service aces during the five-point lead-extension.  They finished off strong in the second set, but came up just short in the third, letting a late 22-20 lead slip away, losing the set 25-23.  Finding themselves in a hole down 21-16 in the fourth, the Seawolves stormed back to end the Broncos' senior night, winning three games to one.

Sonoma State ends the regular season at home this coming weekend at The Wolves' Den.  The Seawolves will take on the Otters of Cal State Monterey Bay on Friday and the Pioneers of Cal State East Bay on Saturday.  Both games start at 7:00 pm.
