Women's Basketball Suffers 62-47 Loss At UC San Diego

Molly Kommer scored a career-high 15 points and Kristina Fahey added another 14, but the Sonoma State women's basketball team suffered a 62-47 loss at UC San Diego on Saturday night at RIMAC Arena. 

The Seawolves (4-20, 3-17 CCAA), who went 1-11 on the road this season, will return home next weekend to play their final two games of the 2013-14 season, beginning with a Friday night showdown with Cal State Monterey Bay in The Wolves' Den.  The Tritons improved to 15-9 (12-8 CCAA).

Kommer netted her 15 tallies in 38 minutes of action on 6 of 13 from the floor, including 1 of 4 from beyond the three-point range.  Fahey was 4 of 13 shooting with a pair of made three-pointers, adding five rebounds and five assists.  As a team, the Seawolves shot 30.2 percent (16-53) and just 50 percent (9-18) from the free throw line.

UC San Diego was led by the 11 points of both Megan Perry and McKennan Bertsch.
