Rainy Forecast Precipitates Change To Baseball Schedule

The Seawolves will now kick off their 2014 season three hours earlier.
ROHNERT PARK, Calif.  --  With some much needed rain in the forecast for later this week, the Sonoma State baseball team has made an adjustment to their season opening five-game series against Western Oregon.  Instead of a single game on Thursday and a doubleheader on Saturday, they will now play twice on Thursday and once on Saturday.

This Week's Schedule:

THURSDAY (2/6):  Doubleheader starting at 11:00 am
FRIDAY (2/7):  Doubleheader starting at 11:00 am
SATURDAY (2/8):  Single game starting at 11:00 am

The Seawolves are excited to open up their 2014 campaign.  One year removed from another trip to the NCAA Championship Tournament, the Seawolves have a lot of new faces to fill in between veterans like second baseman Jackson Stogner and outfielder Garrett Schwartz.  Sonoma was picked to finish third in the CCAA and they'll face a stiff test early as Western Oregon is coming off a series win against Cal State Monterey Bay.
