BOX SCORE 2 ROHNERT PARK, Calif. – In the Seawolves final home series of the season, Sonoma fell 7-0 and 4-2 against Cal Poly Pomona in Saturday's doubleheader. The Broncos rise to 27-18 overall and 23-11 in conference while the Seawolves fall 21-20 overall and 16-18 in CCAA play.
Game 1:
Sonoma State had 6 hits and one error against the Cal Poly Pomona.
Joshua Montelongo was 2 for 4.
Game 2:
The Seawolves had 2 runs on 5 hits and 2 RBI's.
Matt Hammonds was the starting pitcher and allowed only one earned run in 24 at bats over seven innings. In nine innings of work combined Hammonds and
Ricky Clark allowed only three earned runs and struck out three in 33 total at bats.
Bryce Nagata had a homerun to score for his team in the 8th inning.
Grant St. Martin had the other RBI on a sac fly to bring in
Evan Seidell in the third inning.
The Seawolves will play the Broncos again on Sunday April 30 at 11:00am. Senior Day ceremony is scheduled for 20 minutes before game time.
