THOUSAND OAKS, Calif. – Sonoma State wrapped up the Tina Finali 2-2, facing California Baptist and Azusa Pacific University on Saturday. The Seawolves fell 12-9 in game one against the Lancers and 9-5 against the Cougars.
 
Game One – No. 22 California Baptist 12, Sonoma State 9 
Sonoma States offense was led by Amber Hellickson, who was 4-for-5 against California Baptist. 
The Lancers struck first in the game's opening minute, answered by Hellickson's first goal of the game tying the score 1-1. California Baptist strung three goals back-to-back to gain a 4-1 hold on the Seawolves. Hellickson cut the score in half at the 3:18 mark, then with three seconds left on the clock Lancers added one more to make the score 5-2 after one-quarter of play.
 
Jordan Williams and Annika Erickson added to the Seawolves score in the second quarter. A late scoring second quarter, the Lancers put up three (two within the final 30 seconds) before halftime to extend its lead 8-4.
 
The Seawolves held the No. 22 ranked Lancers near silent third quarter, only allowing one goal and scoring three of its own. Amanda Weddle, Hailey Gellert, and Hellickson all found the cage for a 10-6 lead entering the final quarter.
 
Sonoma State outscored the Lancers 3-2 in the fourth but came short for a 12-9 final.
 
Brooke Sullivan recorded nine saves in the for the Seawolves.

Game Two – Azusa Pacific 9, Sonoma State 5 
A slow start to game two, the Cougars pounced gaining a 4-2 lead in the first. 

With less than two minutes on the clock, Erickson tied the game, for a halftime score of 4-4.
 
The Seawolves were cold in the third, as the Cougars took hold of an 8-4 lead.
 
Both teams found the net once in the fourth quarter, for a final score of 9-5 in favor of Azusa Pacific.
