Hayward, Calif. – Just short of a comeback, as Sonoma State trailed Cal State East Bay throughout today's game. The Seawolves held the Pioneer silent in the fourth while adding three of their own; the comeback rally fell short as the Pioneer walked away with an 8-7 conference win.

The Pioneers Ruiz with a hat trick and Bracy and Bill adding to the frame as the Pioneer grew its lead 6-2.
Erickson with her second goal of the game cut the Pioneer lead in half once again 6-3 at the half.
The Seawolves defense held the Pioneers to a pair of goals (8-3) in the third, while
Camille Grace found the back of the net to cut the lead in half for the third time 8-4.
Sonoma States defense continued its strong second half holding the Pioneer scoreless in the final quarter while adding three goals by
Cameron Gavuzzi (8-5), Williams (8-6) and
Hailey Gellert (8-7). Despite the Seawolves rally in the fourth Sonoma State fell 8-7 to the Pioneers.
A full weekend for Seawolves next weekend as they host Fresno Pacific next Saturday at 1:00 p.m. and UC San Diego next Sunday at 9:00 a.m.
