ROHNERT PARK, CALIF. - Sonoma State's Tanner Fonoti hurls a gem on Saturday to earn him this week's CCAA Baseball Pitcher of the Week award.

Fonoti, a junior from Fairfield, blanked Cal State LA with a seven-inning complete game 9-0 shutout. He yielded just two singles, struck out eight and walked just one to earn his team leading fourth win of the season. The right-hander retired 13 of the first 14 batters he faced to add to a dominant performance.

Fonoti is currently ninth in the CCAA in opponents' batting average (.244) and he's also ninth in ERA (3.38). This would go down as Fonoti's second complete game of the season as his eight strikeouts were also a career high.
