FRESNO, CALIF. - On Saturday, September 2nd, the Sonoma State cross country team competed in their first event of the 2023 season and played host in the Seawolf Invitational at Woodward Park. The Seawolves had five participants in the 5000 meters and were led by freshman
Loralye Clements who recorded a time of 19:49.74, good for 13th place overall in her Seawolf debut. Third year returners
Sophie Rodriguez and
Abby Ribet rounded out the top-20 with times under 21 minutes.
Maddy Petersen would follow with a time of 21:24.78 and freshman
Abby Carroll would also make her SSU debut and record a time of 21:56.74, good for 27th place. All five SSU participants would finish inside the top-30 out of 44 runners and help the Seawolves to a third place finish. Full meet results can be found
