Todd, Seawolves Claim InterWest Chico Crowns

The Seawolves collected their share of trophies at Chico
CHICO, Calif-  Sonoma State senior Jarin Todd carded a two-under 70 on Tuesday to claim individual medalist honors at the InterWest Wildcat Classic at Butte Creek in Chico.  In the process, he led the Seawolves to the team championship as well, their second title in three tournaments this fall.

As a team, the Seawolves shot 14 strokes better than they did in 2007, when they were runner-up in the Chico Tournament.

Todd's 74-70-70--214 was two better than a pair of teammates who tied for second place.  Keith Rodriguez finished at 73-71-72--216 and Patrick Bauer rebounded from a tough first round with back-to-back 69's to finish at 78-69-69--216.

Ryan Carter (78-74-75--227) and Spencer Shishido 79-83-76--238 finished 20th and 39th for the Seawolves, respectively.

The Seawolves (873) finished a full ten strokes clear of second place Cal State San Bernardino (883).  Chico State was third (884) and Cal State Monterey Bay was fourth (893).

Next week the Seawolves will host their own tournament, the Sonoma State Invitational, at Santa Rosa Golf & Country Club.
