SAN BERNARDINO, Calif- The Sonoma State volleyball team fell in three sets on Saturday night to the nation's second ranked team, Cal State San Bernardino, at Coussoulis Arena in San Bernardino. The result gives sole possession of first place to the Coyotes (15-1, 7-1 CCAA). The Seawolves fall a game off the pace at 14-3, 6-2 CCAA.
The Seawolves fell to the Coyotes by scores of 25-17, 25-20, and 25-18. CSUSB out hit Sonoma .301 to .178 and they got big performances from stars, Jessica Granados (15 kills) and Jane Chafeh (13 kills).
The Seawolves got a team-high five kills from four different players-
Marianne Fox,
Ali Walker,
Sarah Illingworth, and
Rikki Buckshnis.
After a tough weekend, the Seawolves will look to rebound on Wednesday when they host Humboldt State.
