ROHNERT PARK, Calif-
Jessica Scott scored three goals to lead Sonoma State to an 11-7 win over Cal State East Bay in their final home game of the 2008 season. The win lifts the Seawolves to 12-14 on the season.
The Seawolves raced out to a 5-1 lead in the first quarter thanks to two goals by
Samantha Mullins and one apiece by
Laurel Stricklin,
Sara Watt, and
Andrea Brookbank.
After a second quarter that saw each team score twice, the Pioneers pulled to within two in the third quarter at 8-6. Two fourth quarter goals by Scott sealed the victory for Sonoma State.
Prior to the game, SSU's five seniors-
Samantha Burchard,
Jessica Scott,
Lauran Zambruski,
Jenna Bole, and
Christina Maher- were recognized for their achievements at SSU.
The Seawolves play at San Jose State on Saturday.
