Men's Basketball Roughed Up By Broncos

Steven Pratt's ten points were a team-high for the Seawolves on Friday
POMONA, Calif-  The Sonoma State men's basketball team was held to just 41 points on Friday night in a 59-41 defeat to Cal Poly Pomona.  The loss snaps a four-game winning streak for the Seawolves as they drop to 11-13, 7-10 CCAA.  The Broncos improve to 16-6, 12-5 CCAA.

The 41 points are the lowest output by Sonoma State in a conference game this year.  Sonoma State would shoot just 35% for the game, but it would be an eight-minute scoreless stretch to start the second half that ended any chances of victory.

The Seawolves hung tough in the first ten minutes, trailing by just one point at 12-11.  A quick 8-0 run by the Broncos spread things out and it wouldn't really be close again.

Freshman Steven Pratt was the only Sonoma State player in double figures, finishing with ten points and six rebounds.

Larry Gordon had 15 points and seven rebounds to lead the Broncos.

The Seawolves will look to rebound on Saturday night when they face another strong opponent in Cal State San Bernardino.
