SEASIDE, Calif-
Patrick Bauer shot a third round 71 to seal victory at the CSUMB Otter Invitational on Tuesday in Seaside. The Colfax native finished the tournament at 70-74-71--215 to win by an impressive four strokes. As a team, the Seawolves finished fifth.
Save for Bauer, the Seawolves had a tough time getting going at the event as no other golfer would finish in the top 20.
Jarin Todd shot a 76-80-78--234 to finish 21st and
Tyler Schmuckle (78-79-80--237) and
Janssen Todd (82-77-78) finished in a tie for 33rd.
Keith Rodriguez rounded out the Seawolves' card at 84-88-92--264 (64th).
Cal State San Bernardino won the team title by six strokes over Saint Edward's of Texas. The Seawolves were one stroke behind fourth place Washburn.
Four SSU players also constituted a 'B' Team, with
Ryan Carter leading the way at 76-79-78--233 (19th).
The Seawolves won't return to action until April at the Buzzini/Stanislaus Invitational.
