BLOOMINGTON, Ind- The Sonoma State water polo team concluded play at the Fluid Four in Indiana with a 12-2 loss to Michigan. Sonoma State closes out the tournament with a 1-2 record. The lone victory for the Seawolves was a 10-9 win over Maryland.
Sonoma State only managed two goals on the day, their lowest output since opening the season with back-to-back 14-1 and 15-1 losses to Hawaii and California at the Nor Cal Cup.
Sonoma was able to keep close in the first half, with Michigan leading at the break, 4-2.
Samantha Mullins and
Brooke Smith each netted goals for the Seawolves in the opening half. The Wolverines erupted in the second half, outscoring Sonoma 8-0 en route to their 12-2 victory.
Next weekend the Seawolves will travel to Santa Clara to participate in The Bronco Invite.
