GOODYEAR, Ariz- Led by a final round 69 by freshman
Janssen Todd, the Sonoma State men's golf team moved up one spot to finish fourth on Tuesday at the GCU Thunderbird Invitational in Goodyear, Arizona. Todd and his brother, Jarin, led the Seawolves to yet another top finish amongst the nation's elite NCAA Division II squads.
Jarin Todd finished 6th overall at 71-66-71--208, four strokes ahead of his younger brother, Janssen, who had his best collegiate performance at 72-71-69--212 (15th).
Patrick Bauer closed out his tournament in 30th at 74-71-71--216, tied with
Ryan Carter (75-66-75--216) for 30th.
Two of the Seawolves' chief rivals, Chico State and Cal State San Bernardino, finished in a tie at the top at 841, nine strokes in front of Sonoma's 850. San Bernardino's Kenny Pigman was the individual medalist at 65-70-70--205.
The Seawolves return to action in two weeks at the Buzzini/Stanislaus Invitational.
