SEASIDE, Calif- Hours after losing a 13-10 decision to Cal State Monterey Bay for its sixth straight loss, the Sonoma State women's water polo team bounced back to defeat Cal Lutheran, 10-4, at the Otter Tank on Saturday afternoon in Seaside. The Seawolves improved to 3-12 while earning their first victory over an NCAA school.
In the opening game of the day, Sonoma State held tough with WWPA-rival Cal State Monterey Bay and forced a 3-3 tie after the first eight minutes of play. The Otters would then score two in the second period while holding the Seawolves to just one to lead 5-4 at halftime.
