BLOOMINGTON, Ind. -- Carleigh Robinson scored twice and Taylor Plorin made 11 saves, but the Sonoma State women's water polo team lost 12-4 to 16th-ranked Indiana on Friday night to open the Fluid Five, hosted by the NCAA Division I Hoosiers this weekend in Bloomington, Ind.  The Seawolves fell to 8-10 this season while the Hoosiers jumped to 12-5.

Indiana's Kelly Matthews scored a team high five goals, added one assist, and led the team with six steals.  She scored a goal in all four quarters and had two in the third quarter.

Jennifer Beadle started the scoring barrage in the first quarter with one of her two goals on the night.  Karrie Kozokar scored the final goal of the period to take a 3-0 lead.  She scored her second goal in the second quarter to make it a 5-0 lead for the Hoosiers.  At the half, Indiana led 5-1 with Sonoma State getting its only goal of the half from Ellen Peterson with 51 seconds remaining in the half.

Robinson and Sydney Tatum each scored in the third period, but Indiana's Kate Pipkin added a goal in the third quarter to push the lead to 9-3.   Pipkin and Beadle both scored goals in the fourth as well.  Sarah Myers closed out the scoring for the Hoosiers with a fourth quarter goal.  She also won all four sprints for Indiana.  Robinson scored her second goal of the contest with 5:19 to play in the fourth, but that would be it for SSU in the 12-4 loss.

Sonoma State will play twice on Saturday, both against WWPA-foes Gannon (7:20 am PDT) and Mercyhurst (3:20 pm PDT).
