REDLANDS, Calif. -- Sydney Tatum scored a team-high two goals and four others chipped in with a score as the Sonoma State women's water polo team cruised to a 6-2 victory over Redlands on Sunday to wrap up a weekend that saw the Seawolves go 3-2 and improve to 6-13 overall this season. The Bulldogs fell to 2-6.
Taylor Brooks, Tatum and
Carleigh Robinson gave Sonoma a 3-0 lead through the first quarter of play and SSU never looked back, jumping out to an eventualy 6-1 lead late in the third quarter before setting for the 6-2 win.
Taylor Brown and
Ellen Peterson also scored for the Seawolves Sunday.
Kelly Failner recorded three assists, three steals and two earned exclusions.
Lisa Rodarmel played all 32 minutes in the cage for SSU, making five stops in her first-career start.
Sonoma State will return home Thursday to face UC Santa Barbara at 5:00 pm.
