FRESNO, Calif. -- Fresno Pacific scored two goals in the fourth quarter, including the game-winner with just 43 seconds left, to earn a 6-5 win over Sonoma State on Saturday in Fresno. The loss for the Seawolves (7-17) comes just a day after they pulled a similar trick against Cal State East Bay.
Sonoma State got out to a 4-2 lead after back to back goals by
Cassidy Mundt spanned the second and third quarters.
After a goal by
Nicole Groat extended their lead to 5-3, the Seawolves would endure a dry stretch that saw them go without a goal for the final 12-plus minutes of the game.
Fresno Pacific tied it up with 3:34 left and got the game-winner on a goal by Hannah Holly with just 43 seconds remaining.
Saturday's contest marked the final regular season road game for Sonoma. They'll close out the season with a three-match home stand starting Saturday, April 8th against Santa Clara.
