ST. GEORGE, Utah – After multiple frosty days at The Ledges Golf Course the Sonoma State Men's Golf team finished the Dixie State Regional Preview in sixth place Tuesday evening after thirty six holes.
Coming off his first Division II Golf Tournament last month, winning the Sonoma State Invitational,
Blake Bourelle led the Seawolves, tying for 15th place and shooting rounds of 70 and 72 to a 142 (-2) finish.
Devin Gregg was one of the other 15th-place finishers reversing scores with Bourelle through the tournament (72-70—142; -2).
Spencer Clapp shot a 70-74—144; E through the tournament, tying for 27th place. Ian Hoffmann (76-72—148; 4) and
Isaiah Aguirre (79-78—157; 13) rounded out the Sonoma State team with T-63rd and T-119th place finishes, respectively.
The Seawolves' (288-288—576; E) performance marked a sixth-place finish for the squad within the 20-team field. This marks Sonoma State's second top-10 team finish this season.
Sonoma State returns to action October 22-23 as they travel to Marina, CA for the Otter Invitational at Bayonet Golf Course, hosted by Cal State Monterey Bay.
