San Geronimo, Calif. – With summer in full swing and the upcoming school year in plain sight, Sonoma States Devin Gregg won the Marin County Amateur Championship with a posted score of 75-70—145, 1-over-par.
Gregg, a junior at Sonoma State sank a 20-foot birdie putt on the first playoff hole to turn back Sean Talmadge of San Jose and Anthony Vaccaro of Fairfax.
"It doesn't surprise me that Devin can perform under lots of pressure, he has demonstrated thus far," said head coach Val Verhunce.
Last season Gregg placed top-10 twice and ranked second for the Seawolves with a 75.07 stroke average.
