Sonoma State Basketball COVID Policies, Proof of Vaccination or Negative Test Required

Sonoma State Athletics is excited to welcome basketball fans back to The Wolves' Den in a way that is as safe as possible for our student-athletes, staff, game officials, visiting teams and fans. In accordance with guidelines provided by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), the State of California, the California State University (CSU) and the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) regarding COVID-19, Sonoma State basketball events will require fans to show proof of their fully-vaccinated status or a negative COVID-19 test administered by a healthcare professional from within 72 hours of the start of the event.
 
For proof of vaccination, you will be asked to provide a photo ID that matches the name on either an original vaccination card (or photograph of it) or digital proof from the State of California's Digital COVID-19 Vaccine Record website.
 
Accepted test for all ages include a negative PCR test taken within 72 hours of the event or a negative antigen test conducted by a laboratory within 24 hours of the game.  For ages 3-11, a negative rapid antigen test taken within 6 hours of the game is acceptable.
 
Sonoma State Students may show their Green indicator with a smart-phone, tablet, or printed copy for entry to the game.
 
Additionally, all fans are required to wear a mask covering their nose and mouth at all times, except when actively eating or drinking.
 
Tickets for all 2021-22 home basketball games are now officially on sale! Sonoma State's first home game of the 2021-22 season will be on Friday November 19th at 7:00 pm where SSU's men's basketball team will take on Alaska Fairbanks in the Ron Logsdon Basketball Challenge presented by Cambria Hotel Sonoma Wine Country. The women's basketball team will make their home debut in The Wolves' Den on November 24th at 6 pm against PacWest opponent Holy Names. 

There are three different ways you can purchase your tickets for the 2021-22 season:
  1. Tickets can be purchased online (HERE)
  2. Tickets can be purchased by phone: (707-664-4246), must be purchased 24-hours prior to game
  3. Or in-person ticket purchases at the door (all tickets bought at the door will be $12)

To get the best deal on home ticket sales you can buy your general admission tickets online or by phone before the scheduled home event for $10 instead of paying $12 dollars at the door. An outline of ticket prices for all groups can be seen below:

FULL SPECTATOR POLICY
General Information

Sonoma State University Department of Intercollegiate Athletics spectator guidelines for the 2021-2022 academic year will be framed by guidelines and protocols issued by the NCAA and CCAA, along with state and local health authorities and is subject to change. More information may be updated on the department's website.

Please do not attend an SSU Athletics event if you are experiencing any unexplained, COVID-related symptoms as listed here on the CDC website or if you have had recent close contact with an individual who is confirmed as having COVID-19—even if you are fully vaccinated.

Spectators are asked to utilize CDC best practices pertaining to personal hygiene, as well as physical and social distancing.  Spectators may be asked to leave the venue for failure to comply with the host institution's COVID-19 protocols.
The current guidelines regarding fan attendance at Seawolves home athletic events are as follows:

Basketball (Indoors)
  • Masks are required for all spectators and event staff.
  • All spectators will be required to provide proof of COVID-19 vaccination, or a negative COVID-19 test, for seating in the Wolves Den. This includes fans of all ages.
  • For proof of vaccination, you will be asked to provide a photo ID that matches the name on either an original vaccination card (or photograph of it) or digital proof from the State of California's Digital COVID-19 Vaccine Record website.
  • Accepted test for all ages: a negative PCR test taken within 72 hours of the event or a negative antigen test conducted by a laboratory within 24 hours of the game.
  • Accepted test for ages 3-11: A negative rapid antigen test taken within 6 hours of the game.
  • Please note that at-home tests are only permitted for ages 3-11.
  • Sonoma State Students may show their Green indicator with a smart-phone, tablet, or printed copy for entry to the game.
