ROHNERT PARK -- After years of dreaming, wishing and planning, construction on a new Sonoma State baseball facility is underway at Seawolf Diamond. Countless hours of fundraising, coupled with several generous donations from former coaches, alumni and the surrounding community has carried this project from a dream to a reality.
When completed by the summer of 2013, the new two-story, 4,200-square foot building will house the baseball team's clubhouse/locker room, coaches offices, video rooms, indoor batting cages and pitching mounds, and more. The project broke ground on Dec. 7 and is scheduled to be completed by Sept. 21 of this year, but the building is estimated to be finished by this upcoming July.
Videos of the building's progress are featured below. Stay tuned to sonomaseawolves.com for construction updates throughout the spring.
