Volleyball Improves To 18-4 With Sweep Of Toros

CARSON, Calif-  Sonoma State got got solid contributions from up and down the roster on Friday night to sweep Cal State Dominguez Hills in CCAA volleyball action at the Torodome in Carson.  The Seawolves improve to 18-4 on the season overall and 10-3 in CCAA play.  The Toros drop to 1-20, 0-13 CCAA.

The Seawolves won by scores of 25-13, 25-8, and 25-22 to complete a season sweep of the Toros.

Kristy Sather paced the Seawolves with ten kills and just one error for a stellar .529 hitting percentage.  Brooke Moore also continued her fine play of late with nine kills and Marianne Fox pitched in with seven.  Lindsay Brown led Sonoma with 32 assists and Ali Walker had 16 digs.  The Seawolves hit .311 as a team.

The Seawolves hit an impressive .636 as a team in the second set.  They had 14 kills and no errors in 22 attempts.

Three different Toro players led the team with five kills as CSUDH managed to hit just .083.

The Seawolves will now ready themselves for a battle with Cal State L.A., tomorrow night at the Eagles Nest in Los Angeles.
