SEASIDE, Calif- Sonoma State got 12 kills from
Kristy Sather and 10 from
Marianne Fox to sweep past Cal State Monterey Bay in three sets on Friday night at the Kelp Bed in Seaside. The win pushes the Seawolves' record to 19-5, 11-4 CCAA while the Otters drop to 7-19, 3-12 CCAA.
The Seawolves got past the Otters by scores of 27-25, 25-14, 25-23 to complete a season sweep of the Otters. Sonoma State is now 8-0 against their fellow CCAA opponents from Northern California.
Sather's game-high 12 kills came off of 33 attempts.
Lindsay Brown had 33 assists and was also effective on the attack, posting six kills on just eight attempts. The Seawolves had ten service aces, led by three from Brown and three from
Kelsey Dall.
The Otters got eight kills from Rayna Richardson to lead their offense.
Sonoma State out hit CSU Monterey Bay for the night, .205 to .137 despite being out blocked, 7-3.
The Seawolves will head to San Francisco State for another CCAA match tomorrow night.
