Kristy Sather paced Sonoma State with 14 kills on Friday as the Seawolves opened up CCAA play with a sweep of Cal State Stanislaus. The Seawolves beat the Warriors 25-14, 25-19, 25-16 to improve to 7-1, 1-0 CCAA. The Warriors drop to 3-5, 0-1 CCAA.
The Seawolves hit a blistering .348 in the first set to set the tone for the match. Sather had six kills as the Seawolves rolled 25-14.
Sonoma State would wrap things up handily with 25-19 and 25-16 wins in sets two and three.
Sather's 14 kills came on just 33 attempts. She committed just one error to finish the night with a .394 hitting percentage.
Ali Walker pitched in with six kills and a team-high 11 assists.
Lindsay Brown had 21 assists and
Rikki Buckshnis blocked four shots to lead the Seawolves.
Sonoma State has a big test on the horizon as they head up the 99 to face No. 25 Chico State tomorrow night.
