ROHNERT PARK, Calif. - Enduring through three evenly matched sets on Saturday night, the Sonoma State volleyball team edged Cal State Dominguez Hills (26-24, 25-23, 25-19) in The Wolves' Den.  In handing the Toros their ninth consecutive loss, the Seawolves improve to 19-4 overall and 12-3 in the CCAA while CSUDH falls to 8-15 overall, 1-14 in the CCAA.

For the second consecutive night Caylie Seitz led all players in kills (13) but was second on the team in hitting percentage (.360) behind fellow outside hitter Madelyn Densberger (.417), who also contributed with 8 digs. Seitz did most of her damage in the first two sets, totalling 11 kills through the first 51 points, giving the Seawolves a little breathing room going into the third set against the upset-minded Toros.

As per usual, Nicole Gragnola led all players in digs (15) while squeaking in a rare service ace as well. Kelsey Hull put in a well-rounded effort with 10 kills, 6 digs, 1 block assist, and sported a .269 hitting percentage on the night. In fact, the whole team used a well-rounded effort having 9 players fill the stat sheet in tonight's victory. Six Seawolves had kills while 6 also had digs, with only 3 players recording at least 2 of both (Rachel Andrews, Kelsey Hull, Madelyn Densberger).

After needing late comebacks in both of the first two sets, the Seawolves seemed to kick it into gear in the third, holding the lead from start to finish. Never rattled by the outmatched look on paper, the Toros managed to keep all three sets close, falling just shy of an upset each time.

Sonoma State will travel to San Francisco State this Wednesday night to face the Gators at 7:00 pm. The Seawolves stay on the road until November 22 when they take on the Otters of Monterrey Bay at 7:00 pm in the Wolves' Den, the first of two home games to close out the regular season.
