Sonoma State University Volleyball Camps are designed to offer a unique learning and training environment for young players of all skill levels, from beginner to elite. Our camps offer fundamental skill instruction, position training, competitive opportunities, and much more.
Every aspect of each camp will be conducted under the direct supervision of Sonoma State University head coach Bear Grassl. Bear has been involved with volleyball for over 20 years, as the head coach at El Molino High School from 1991 to 2001 and the head coach at Sonoma State since the 2002 season. He also owns the Empire Volleyball Club.
In his time at Sonoma State, Bear has led the Seawolves to unprecedented levels of success. His teams have qualified for the NCAA Tournament in each of the last eight seasons, reaching the regional final twice and winning the west region championship in 2014. Since 2008, the Seawolves have a combined record of 183-58, they've won two league championships and Bear has been named CCAA Coach of the Year on four times.
Coach Grassl and his assistant, Michaela Ebben are committed to providing every camper with a rich learning opportunity and a memorable camp experience.
