FRESNO, CALIF. - On Saturday, April 29th, the Sonoma State track & field team competed in their final regular season meet at the Fresno State Invitational. Head coach
David Lawrence Jr. had just three student-athletes compete in the meet acting as a final tune-up before the conference championships on Thursday, May 4th.
Sophomore
Katie Sheldon would compete in the long jump and 400 meter hurdles to highlight the day. Sheldon would record a mark of 4.82 meters in the long jump, good for 21st place, and then a time of 1:07.28 in the 400 meter hurdles to finish in 22nd place.
Freshman sprinter
Mia Cecilio represented SSU in the 200 and 400 meters. She would record a time of 26.87 seconds in the 200 meter dash and then a time of 1:01.89 in the 400, placing inside the top-25. Fellow freshman
Kathyrn Rust was the lone participant for the Seawolves in the high jump, recording a mark of 1.44 meters good for 9th place overall.

Sonoma State now turns their attention to the CCAA Championships on Thursday, May 4th, as they try to record a top-10 team finish for the first time in program history.
