HAYWARD, CALIF. - On Saturday, April 13th, the Sonoma State track & field team took part in the Chuck Buettner Twilight at Chabot College. Head coach
David Lawrence Jr. took 12 team members to compete in 7 events.
Constance O'Neal continues to shine in the 3000 meter steeplechase as she recorded another top-2 finish in the event with a time of 11:41.39.
Alex Boyle joined O'Neal in the steeplechase and recorded a time of 11:56.78 good for 6th place.
Other notable finishes included freshman pole vaulter
Sammy Rodriguez. The Riverside native placed 2nd in the event with a mark of just under 10 feet.
Samantha Rohde also took part in the pole vault with a mark of 7-feet 10-inches for 6th place.
Chloe Traxler and
Beck Hampton were the team's two lone throwers on the weekend. Traxler placed 3rd in the shot put with a throw over 36 feet. Hampton represented the Seawolves in the javelin and placed 4th with a mark of 103-feet.
