RENO, NEV.- The Seawolves indoor track and field team have been busy these past few weeks, this time heading back to Reno to compete in three days of competition both on the track and field.
Kathryn Rust got things started for the Seawolves on Thursday in the pentathlon. She secured a 12th place finish in a field loaded with NCAA Division I competitors beating out athletes from UC Santa Barbara, University of Nevada and Stephen F. Austin. Rust did her best work in the 60 meter hurdles where she secured an eighth place finish.
Sophie Rodriguez led the way in the long distance portion of the weekend partaking in the 5000 meter race. Across the three miles of running Rodriguez secured a third place finish and crossed the finish line with a final time of 18:31.92.
Lastly, the teams top high jumping duo of Jazmine Severo and Amber Walker both competed in a loaded field facing off against other high jumpers from Oregon State, UC Irvine, UC Davis, University of Nevada and Long Beach State just to name a few.
